Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was Disney’s very first animated full length feature film that was animated in full color and included sound. The story itself was loosely based on one of the fairy tales by the Brothers Grimm, but Disney made it the family-friendly classic that is still as popular today as it was in 1937!
Besides the technical achievements if this smash hit, this was also the first movie that released an album for the soundtrack musical pieces. It wasn’t until 1994 that Disney finally released Snow White on the wildly popular VHS home videos. I don’t know why they waited so long because it sold ten-million videos just in the first week!
